DNA profiling
From $170.00
PLEASE NOTE: this test will not tell you your ancestry or give any information about health issues.
Having a copy of your DNA profile on file is useful for a number of reasons. Like us, you might just love science! Our at home DNA collection kit is perfect for this.
Alternatively, you might like your DNA profile on record for more serious reasons, such as estate planning, or because you are employed in a high-risk profession. In order to be used in any future legal proceedings or for comparison and identification purposes, the identity of the person being tested must be confirmed, and samples must be collected by an appropriate medical professional, e.g. a GP, clinic nurse, or pathology collector (please note that any charges for this collection are to be negotiated with the collector, and are not covered by Identilab testing fees.)
Each DNA Profiling Kit contains testing for one person.

There are 3 easy steps to
receive a copy of your
personal DNA profile:
1. Order
Place your order online or by contacting us by phone, email or through our contact form. We’ll send your collection kits that day if ordered by 12pm on a weekday (Brisbane time). Orders received on a weekend or after 12pm on a weekday will be sent the next business day. Kits are sent in discreet packaging via Australia Post.
2. Collect
Your collection kit includes full instructions on how to take your sample yourself (for at home testing) or have it collected by your chosen medical professional (for legally admissible testing) – it’s just a quick and easy swab from inside the mouth. Package the samples in the supplied pre-paid return envelope and drop them back in the post.
3. Results
Once we have your sample at the lab, we’ll perform our testing as quickly as possible. You’ll receive your results via email within 5 business days of us receiving your sample (providing the sample is of good quality and additional testing is not required).
